4th Annual Book Arts Exhibition

4th Annual Book Arts Exhibition

The Friedli Gallery is proud to announce the Fourth Annual Book Arts Exhibition, showcasing a dynamic array of innovative book-based artworks.

Curated by the esteemed Twin Cities book artist Erin Maurelli, this exhibition invites art lovers, collectors, and creatives to explore the rich and multifaceted world of book arts.

This exhibition highlights contemporary book artists, elevating book arts to become a powerful medium for artistic expression. This year's submissions, selected by Maurelli, will include a diverse collection of works such as fine press, zines, ephemera, sculptural book works, and book art installations. Each piece reflects the artist's unique approach to the idea of the book as an art object, providing a fresh perspective on the bound page and the narratives within. This year’s exhibition aims to expand the visibility of the book arts community, connecting emerging and established artists with new audiences. These works offer a tactile and immersive experience that transcends the traditional book format, inviting visitors to experience how books can serve as both objects of art and tools for storytelling.

The exhibition also provides a unique opportunity for collectors to discover one-of-a-kind works that redefine the book as an art form, expanding the creative conversation around the possibilities of what is book arts.
