A Sense of Place | Kim Gordon

Gallery 360 presents A Sense of Place a series of batik landscape paintings by Kim Gordon.

5-FOOT SHOWS: Theresa Hutch, Brendan Kramp, Maureen Welter

Late summer is the time to embrace the abounding nature and landscape that surrounds us with an exhibition that evokes …A Sense of Place within our natural world. Local artist Kim Gordon embarks on capturing these pristine scenic places with a showing of batik artworks created on handmade Japanese Kinwashi paper. Bountiful landscape paintings, multi-layered in watercolor and paraffin wax, take the viewer on a painterly migration through the vast marshlands, flowing streams, and tree lined forests that make up our great northern surrounds. This series captures the memories of nature in all its abundance to be enjoyed all year long.
