Caroline Kent discusses her practice as part of a week-long residency at St. Kate's
Caroline Kent is St. Catherine University's Amy Marie Sears Visiting Artist, October 15-18. Join us for Kent's lecture about her painting practice and the work featured in her current exhibition, "The Kármán Line." Free and open the public.
During her week-long residency at St. Kate's, Kent will explore the role of improvisation and performance in interpreting her abstract paintings. Kent will host student workshops investigating movement, acting and shape invention to provide a framework of alternative, experiential contexts for her work.
Caroline Kent's "The Kármán Line" and Melanie Pankau's "Thresholds" are on view in the The Catherine G. Murphy Gallery through October 20th.
