The Art of Resistance

Please join us for our Artists Reception with the rebel sound system provided by DJ Establishment. Poetry readings throughout the evening by Mary Cassidy, Lindsay Dapp Kern and KaJena.J. Refreshments will be served and it will be a gas with all the artists who are in the exhibition..

Show mission statement:
Artists have always been part of the resistance. In times of struggle, war, heartbreak, and injustice, art interrupts and exposes, mocks and disarms, and pushes for collective action. Screen printing is a medium with close ties to activism, with posters, banners, and t-shirts that provide voice to the people, challenging others to think, question and reimagine. The Art of Resistance is a show that provides space for artists to use their craft to engage viewers and encourage the community to claim their roles in the resistance.

Artists in our studio are working in collagraph, cyanotype, intaglio, lithography, monotype, screen printing, woodcut and photography.
