Gamut presents their annual call for work group exhibition - curated by Brant Kingman

Join us at Gamut Gallery for our much-anticipated annual “Call for Work” show of 2024, “Into the Madlands.” This year’s exhibition is an eclectic display of artistic expression, featuring works selected from an astounding 570 submissions by 125 talented artists.

This show is a vibrant tapestry of colorful and emotional landscapes, inviting viewers on a journey through the “Madlands.” Featuring a diverse array of media, including stonework, collage, beaded sculpture, painting, photography, and drawing, this exhibition showcases the unique voices and creative expressions of 28 exceptional artists.

We are honored to have the illustrious Brant Kingman as our guest curator for this year’s show. A long-time supporter of Gamut Gallery, Brant Kingman is a revered figure in the Minneapolis art community. Known for his vast range of styles, dedication to community building, and extensive knowledge of art history, Kingman brings a unique and visionary perspective to the curation of “Into the Madlands.”

“I intentionally approached this curatorial task free from personal desires. I wanted to see what is on today’s artists’ minds and in their hearts. Naturally, I made my choices based on my experiences. In addition to being an artist myself, I am an avid student of art history.” – Brant Kingman.
