Different Ways of Saying the Same Thing | Evan Weselmann

Different Ways of Saying the Same Thing | Evan Weselmann

Gamut Gallery presents Different Ways of Saying the Same Thing”, recent drawings and paintings by Evan Weselmann.

After years of being behind the scenes at Gamut Gallery as a lead installer, Evan Weselmann takes center stage this Fall. As his works have morphed from his early ouroboros paintings to his frozen frame still lifes, we are excited to release his latest body of work!

Evan’s art is a journey of exploration driven by relentless curiosity. As a graduate from St. Olaf College, his work seamlessly blends the worlds of animation and fine art with nods to the masters of the past. Whether he creates a comical character or a larger than life floral work, he exudes a playful yet introspective energy, drawing viewers into his distinct creative universe transporting you to new worlds from his imagination.

Represented by Closer and Closer Co. in North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand Evan art spans throughout the mediums in the commercial world. He has worked in the music industry with legends like Kid Cudi and Chet Faker, to his more commercial clients including Bloomberg Businessweek, Retrospekt, and Samsung.

Evan is no stranger to local fans as well, you can find his mural work at Francis Burgers, skateboards for Pillar and countless flyer designs for ACME Collective. No matter what Evan is creating the end result is the same - unforgettable visual experiences through illustration, animation, and design.

Evan recently made the move to Chicago, so don’t miss this chance to experience his solo exhibit in Minneapolis, the place he has called home before he takes off. We hope you will join us on Saturday, September 21st as we celebrate Different Ways of Saying the Same Thing!
