International Sculpture Day started in 2015 thanks to the International Sculpture Center in Hamilton, NJ. It is always celebrated the last Saturday of April, and for the third year, Silverwood Park will be participating on April 26. International Sculpture Day is meant to help in understanding sculpture and how it plays a vital and unique role in society. Learn more about the day and the International Sculpture Center or read Sculpture magazine at the Silverwood Café the next time you stop by.
On April 26, celebrate and learn more about the sculptures at Silverwood by joining a staff-led sculpture trail tour from 10–11 a.m. Then, stay and make a project to take home with the artists who currently have work in the gallery, Angela St. Vrain and Allegra Lockstadt. Perfect for all ages who want to learn more about the work on display and how it relates to the environment!
