Nude Geographies

Nude Geographies

Praxis Gallery presents Nude Geographies.

Nude Geographies curated by Praxis Directors

The nude figure in western art–specifically in photography–has expressed ideals of female and male beauty along with other human qualities including life, energy, and an array of complicated human emotions. In the Directors’ Gallery, Praxis Photo Arts Center presents photographic works that explore the nude in any of its varied styles including figure studies, environmental nudes and implied nudes.

Opening Reception:

The opening night reception is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to mingle with artists and fellow photography enthusiasts while exploring three galleries of contemporary photographic art and enjoying complimentary refreshments. “Letters, Numbers & Symbols” juried by Dallas Crow opens in the original Praxis Gallery, while “Nude Geographies” opens in the Directors’ gallery. Yankee Enduro, a solo exhibition by G.S. Broz, continues its run in the Lab Gallery. All three exhibits will be on view through Saturday, November 4.

Presented alongside Letters, Numbers & Symbols and Yankee Enduro | G. S. Broz
