Portraits. Scenes. Reflections. A popup solo exhibition.
PAUSE presents a stimulating experience that invites us to take take part in and stop to contemplate a colorful and provocative world of collective storytelling within our community.
This popup features 12 new paintings of expressive portraits and interpretative narratives based on collective storytelling, as part of the Artist Initiative Grant project. These paintings are inspired by interviews with and stories shared by people in our local MN community from different backgrounds, experiences, and cultures. Character portraits and visual stories reflect memory, identity, personal journeys, and the human condition. A layered soundscape created from audio interviews will play in the background.
