Fresh Eye Gallery presents Phantasmagoria.
"Yesterday is but today's memory, and tomorrow is today's dream." - Kahlil Gibran
No one really knows why we dream, some suspect that it is just a simple process of our brains making sense of the day. Others believe that it's the universe trying to reveal something to us and that there is a deeper meaning to what we dream. But in either case, the images revealed can leave a lasting impression.
But what is revealed as truth when artist take those plucky little images out of their dreams and recreate them for all the world to see. Are they more real than those left in the imagination, or are they simply understood. Phantasmagoria is defined as a sequence of real or imaginary images like those seen in a dream. Join us in the gallery for a glimpse into the illusory images and objects of work by Lamine Richards, Marcus Rothering, Yousha Tighe, and Ivonne Yáñez.
