Groveland Gallery is pleased to present Pools, Parks & Landmarks, our summer group exhibition featuring new work from eleven artists.
This exhibition is part of Groveland’s summer event series Summer Staycation: Serious Talent with a Festive Twist, a celebration of the vibrant arts community and the inspiration all around us in our own hometown. In keeping with this theme, each artist will bring their own painted interpretation of a classic summertime destination, and guests are invited to sightsee along the gallery walls.
Groveland will host two free events in tandem with Pools, Parks & Landmarks. Ruby Josephine Dance Theater will give a dance performance on Saturday, August 3 from 5:30-6:30pm. The gallery will also host the return of the crowd-favorite Plein Air SmackDown for its tenth year on August 10. Guests are invited to watch artists paint at Lake Harriet from 11am-4pm and return to Groveland for a porch party and art viewing from 4-6pm.
