Fall 2022 & Spring 2023 coursework selections: Art and Art History Department faculty and staff
Celebrating an eclectic mix of over 150 student artworks made in courses from the 2022-23 academic year, we are excited to present our annual juried show—curated and designed by the Law Warschaw Gallery Student Assistants.
The exhibition is a broad overview of the breadth of learning that happens by art majors and non-art majors in Macalester's studio art classes. Ceramics, design, drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture explore the tangible and intangible, the abstract and representative (portraits, still life, plants, animals, environments). A variety of themes are explored, including knowledge of place, the body/self, life in the natural world, the real and imagined. Cheers to our students on their great efforts in art this academic year!
