Superbloom

Allison Johanson’s art is inspired by Minnesota land and waterscapes. They are a reflection of her deep connection to nature and the beauty it holds. Emotion and human connection are important in her work, and she especially enjoys how these are communicated in her large-scale original paintings. Allison’s process involves layering with expressive applications and intuitive markings. Her pieces contain few forms, encouraging the viewer to experience the proportions, colors, and visual texture with a sense of discovery and personal meaning.
