Fantasy characters, illustrated worlds, and interactive artwork from the artist behind vast, root & dungeon mayhem board games
Light Grey Art Lab’s upcoming exhibition celebrates a retrospective exhibition by illustrator, Kyle Ferrin. The World of Kyle Ferrin exhibition includes over 80 unique illustrations and works that showcase his contributions to the contemporary board games industry and works that dive into fantasy worlds and imaginative communities filled with goblins, ghouls, and forest creatures.
“My art is made with tangibility in mind. I love the way ink feels when I put it to paper and the way it reflects the texture of the medium where its applied. I think board games found me in part because of the way my work translates to cards, boards, and boxes. They are archetypes of things you interact with. There is no question that when you see my work that what you're looking at is, first and foremost, a drawing.”
Opening Reception
Friday, September 20th from 7-10PM
The reception includes food, beverages, table top games, limited edition prints and more. The show is free and open to the public. It will remain on display through November 16th, 2019.
