Time Capsule

"We are launching a brand new gallery and event space, Southside Preservation Society.  We are bubbling with ideas and anticipation for what 2619 28th Ave S. will hold and we want everyone to be a part of it from the very start.  Before we even build the gallery walls, we are creating a time capsule directly inside them with your help.

A few handfuls of remarkable local visual artists are busy adorning the backdrop of the Time Capsule onto the concrete interior walls to unveil on Saturday, Feb. 22nd when you are invited to come see their work and add your own memento/wishes.  We want the very DNA of our new adventure imbued with genius and creativity, so Minneapolis mainstay talent like Lora Hlavsa, Andrès Guzmàn, Xee Reiter, Thomasina Topbear, Biafra Inc, Jose Dominguez, Martzia Thometz, Leah Zobott, River, Will Siasoco, & Jennifer Davis are generously assisting with the effort.  The actual genius of Minneapolis is the collective culture though, so your contribution to the capsule is the key.  You are invited to write / draw your message to the future to be buried behind our gallery walls. We are building a community here, and by we: we mean you.

We have some big dreams for what these walls will hold in the future.  Art exhibits, performances, workshops, conversations, celebrations, and more.

Let’s bury some treasure, get loud, see new faces along with old favorites, and kick off Southside Preservation Society with TIME CAPSULE!"
