The Uptown Art Fair, now celebrating its 59th year, takes over the commercial district in Uptown Minneapolis.
Minnesota’s largest art fair – attended by more than 300,000 people annually – is marking its 59th year with an impressive lineup of internationally recognized artists, a marketplace with locally produced goods, demonstrations, activities, a CannaBar, 25 food vendors with a variety of food, and much more. The Uptown Art Fair runs Friday, Aug. 4, from 1-7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 5, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Hennepin Avenue South and The Mall in Uptown, Minneapolis.
During the 2023 Uptown Art Fair, visitors can browse original art including sculpture, drawing, glass, painting, jewelry, wood, ceramics, photography, mixed media and more from over 300 artists, which were chosen by a jury. Both established and emerging artists will be displaying their work in 12 different mediums. A variety of artists from 29 different states; 132 new artists; and 153 artists living in Minnesota will be exhibiting. Other features of the 2023 Uptown Art Fair:
· Uptown Marketplace – 20 Minnesota vendors showcasing a diverse range of locally made, grown, raised, sourced, and produced products
· Youth Art Fair – Saturday and Sunday inside Seven Points Uptown: see the creative talents of these budding artists demonstrating remarkable skill and imagination
· Activities and Demonstrations – featuring Sprayfinger, street art and graffiti education; and High Point Center for Printmaking, meet some of the artists, learn about the printing process
· Food at the fair – Diverse dining experiences for the foodies and traditional enthusiasts
· Beverages - Thirsty from exploring all that art? Booze gardens available featuring Day Chaser and more. Also many non-alcohol booths and refillable Tap MN water stations
· CannaBar - Global Organic's BLNCD CBD and THC Sparkling Waters and Foundry's THC Soda and Coffee beverages being available at all Art Fair bars as well as being showcased at the Art Fair's first-ever CannaBar. In addition to its onsite distribution of products, Global Organic will also be onsite educating attendees on the potential health benefits of THC and CBD-infused products right in time for Minnesota's legalization of cannabis
